A thoughtfully crafted villa overlooking Lipah beach

Just 200 metres from the calm shores of and incredible tropical reef of Lipah Beach, the villa is set above the coastline, offering sweeping ocean views framed by lush hillsides.

Six guests can sleep comfortably across three spacious bedrooms, each with its own open air bathroom. We offer extra beds and singles or doubles to provide for families, couples, or friends travelling together.

Two large living areas provide space for relaxed family time or focused remote work, allowing guests to enjoy the view, soak up village life, spread out or stay connected.

A fully equipped chef’s kitchen sits at the heart of the villa, with all equipment and essentials for self catering or cooking classes on request.

Outdoors, the infinity pool overlooks the ocean and features a poolside dining area for relaxed breakfasts, sunset dinners, or long afternoons by the water. A large garden and play area add space for both children and adults to enjoy.

Daily breakfast and housekeeping are included. Your local host Nengah is a talented Balinese chef and can arrange private meals or any other service you desire. Our premium comfort and service will ensure a seamless and memorable holiday by the sea.

Our Story

Your hosts are Nengah and his daughter Nia, whose family has lived in Amed for generations. Deeply connected to the local community and culture, Nengah created First Light Villas with a simple dream: to build a beautiful place in one of the best locations in Amed and welcome guests to experience the gentle pace of life here — the beauty of the hills and coral reef, and the deep spiritual traditions and kindness of the local people.

We invite you to slow down and share in the rhythm of village life — the sound of the ocean, the warmth of the sun, and the feeling of being held by this special place.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Lipah Beach near Amed is about a 2.5–3 hour drive (around 95 km) from Ngurah Rai International Airport. The easiest way to arrive is for your host to pre-arrange private transfer or taxi, though shared shuttles also run from popular areas like Kuta, Sanur, and Ubud.

    Parking is provided on site. Once there, everything is a short walk, including more than 25 local restaurants, shops, and the beach. Getting around is usually by scooter rental (100K per day) or hiring a local driver through the villa, as taxis and ride-hailing apps are limited in Amed.

    We can arrange any transport you need including to/from the Airport, Gili Islands and Lombok.

  • We are happy to arrange anything you need including:

    • Local activities like fishing, diving or snorkelling

    • Day trips for example to visit Ubud, Mt Agung, Arak, Coffee or Chocolate Farms, Majestic Rice Paddies of Sidemon, Art village of Kamasan and many more.

    • Cakes or a feast for special celebrations.

    • Massage, spa treatments or any other services you desire. at the villa.

    • Yoga or wellness experiences.

  • Dining & Food

    • 3 course breakfast is included and prepared on site. Our staff will request that you fill out a menu card each day for breakfast the following morning.

    • We are happy to cater for your dietary requirements. For example, we can source gluten free bread and dairy alternatives upon request.

    • Your host Nengah was a commercial chef and can prepare delicious Balinese meals at the villa upon request.

    • We invite you to go fishing on a local boat and bring back your catch for Nengah to prepare.

    • There are more than 25 local restaurants within walking distance, including the best rated Balinese food in the Amed area.

    • There is also a gelato shop and french bakery nearby.

    • Lipah beach is 200m from the villa and offers some of the best snorkelling in Bali right off the beach. We provide snorkelling equipment at the villa.

    • This beach is calm and ideal for children. It is the only sandy beach in the Amed area with mixed white and black sand.

    • There are many other famous diving and snorkelling spots nearby that can be explored by local boat.

    • To try diving you do not need a certificate and you can experience two amazing sites up to 13m depth for around 1.5m IDR per person.

    • Fishing is incredible in this area and local boats and guides can be arranged to chase Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Barracuda and more.

    • There are more than 25 local restaurants within walking distance including the best rated options in the Amed area.

    • The sunrise is magical to experience each day from the villa.

    • There are numerous treks through villages and forested hills that start nearby.

  • We offer a refined stay in Lipah Beach in a modern villa with traditional touches, private infinity pool, sweeping ocean views, a large garden and personalised service tailored to each guest.

    We occupy the the prime position in the area - it is quiet but easy to experience village life and local ammenities.

  • You can contact your host at any time via WhatsApp, or speak directly with the friendly on-site staff during your stay. We aim to be responsive and attentive, ensuring any requests or questions are handled quickly so you can relax and enjoy a seamless, memorable stay.

    • You can book with us through Whats App at a discount, or though AirBnB instant booking.

    • Minimum stay is 2 nights.

    • Cancellation policy is full refund 30 days prior to check-in. Partial refund 50% up to 7 days prior to check-in.

    • 50% payment is required to secure a booking. Balance payable 7 days prior to check-in.

    • Check-in starts at 2pm and check-out at 11am. Late check-in available upon request.

    • Discounts are offered for long stays (10% weekly and 15% monthly).

    • The villa is family-friendly, but children must be supervised at all times and kept away from potential hazards.

    • It suitable for remote work. Wi-Fi coverage and speed are fast, however outages do occur so we recommend to hotspot your mobile as a backup.

    • Our staff can do laundry at cost, or there are multiple shops nearby.

    • The property is not suitable for people with limited mobility due to stairs.
